Toules TF lesson #2
2-Aug-2004
After the popularity of last week's lesson (hi husk), people have demanded a second TF lesson. This week's lesson is on "how to name a new clan appropriately".
The most important point is that a clan name must be ORIGINAL. It is generally not good policy to create a clan which make up 90% of a recently deceased clan members with a few randoms thrown in for good measure. This is even more crucial when the clan created was one of the longest living and well known clans in TF history.
A much better idea is to just try to TAKE OVER another clan but keep their name and let the old members think nothing has changed :) Ie. XF (the real one, not this fake one) takeover of PnP.
This brings us to the end of Toules TF lesson #2, stay tuned for more exciting and informative lessons in the future.

Toules TF Lesson #1
27-Jul-2004
It has come to my attention that certain people are in need of some help so that they will not cry themselves to sleep over difficult to do TF moves. As such, I bring to you a new part of the PnP site:" Toules TF lessons". In these lessons I will show how to pull of extremely difficult TF moves.
Today we start this off with Toules TF lesson #1, How to exit the bam4 spawn when there is a nail near the spawn. I've recently learnt that some people find this difficult so I have created a some short demos to assist.
demo 1a: how to exit bam4 spawn without being injured
demo 1b: how NOT to exit the bam4 spawn

Most Dedicated Newcomer Award
13-Jul-2004
This month, the most dedicated newcomer award goes to...
Dat dun na naaaa (drum roll style)
"Pestilence"
PHWOAR!!!!!
He's already a carve machine with only 2 months of playing the game AND, in a personal interview, Pestilence stated "I'd rather get in there and confuse the enemy defense, for the sake of my teammates getting the flag, than get frags".
What a teamplayer! I think a lot of us could take a page out of this ledgends book. Well done man, you deserve this trophy.
its a pick-up-game!
13-Jul-2004
Back in the day, on the way to the corner store, after the pocket money was spent, sugared up on the highs of those times... we came up with things to do.
Someone started throwing a ball. Before long, youngsters from all around gathered...
"Can we join in?"
"SURE!"
After a while, there was enough to make Teams! There was a group consensus and even teams were made. If not, there was a quick discussion and the teams changed. Why? Because it was best for the good of all.
If a team was unfair, mates obviously left and the high energy intensity of a great battle, full of diversity and excitement would decrease.
Players quit because things became boring. If the game didn't change to suit the needs of everyone, mates went home. Players also quit when there wasn't a true feeling of unity amongst everyone playing.
Did you ever like playing the guys who loved to play to wipe you out? To tackle you down with aggression? Who played because they liked to see their mates laugh when they did something to really 'own' someone or the other side?
You know I'm relating this to TF don't you?
Games last longer when the overall dominating energy of the field is 'enjoyment for all through quality teamplay'.
Remember how you used to try and not think about time as much as possible before school class began or before mum came to pick you up from your best mates? The feeling of 'lacking time' is fucked. Don't worry about waiting for a pug to begin. A pick-up-game wouldn't stop.
We're all digital spoilt. Too many ovals. To many heros wanting to be leaders. Not enough realtime group consensus. Your playing in a game where 2 guys are getting tackled by bullies on the side of the field and everyone else is too busy mashing each other up to notice. PHWOAT
The way pickup games work is like this... You can trust me. Ledgends don't write often but when they do they write ledgends.
People play on a field. People come and people leave. Nobody has time to worry about getting a 'perfect side'. Nobody waits until 8:00am on the handball courts because bill and ted only arrive to school then. You've been there since 7:30 with billly bob!
Hey look, Old mate wants to play. They invite Old mate over and he joins in. Old mate invites his mates and before long you've got a whole crew of Old mates.
Do Old mates need to stop and start having meetings in order to find a balance amongst each other in a game?
When a game continues forever, there is no concern for frags. What the focus becomes is the memory you're left with. What creates memory is an interaction. A bond. This is truth. The moment where you felt connection on the field with an Old mate. A sequence well peformed.
A proud team moment well assisted and supported with full enthusiasm is the goal of TF. These moments happen spontaneously. They happen because chaos is allowed and instinctive battle spirit runs free.
Enjoy :)
OZTF Round 3 – PnP v Cfz
12-Jul-2004
Like Sandz in the hourglass so are the days of OZTF.
With the OZTF competition moving as fast as icebergs, we last night played CFZ in a suprisingly enjoyable game. The selected maps were TF2K (ours) and Mbasesr (theirs). Iâve uploaded MVDâs with links over in the wars section. We only had 7 PnP online so were strengthened by _FLiP_ from clan NFI.
TF2K: PnP win 110-30
pipes: Don steps: Zoom cy: Marsh eng: Zut att: Sold, bliP, _FLiP_, Toules
Things went pretty well on TF2K, with some early caps getting us underway. Our def was pretty solid with some innovative engineering from Zut. Our attack seemed to do pretty well without Bernard, due to the impact of _FLiP_ as he mauled the CFZ defence.
Mbasesr: PnP win 50-30
pipes:zut fr:don rr:marsh/zoom att: Sold, bliP, _FLiP_, Toules
Mbasesr started well with PnP getting off to an early lead of 10-0, then like everything this OZTF season, something went wrong. The flag decided that it was too good for its home and fell off the map.
We restarted and kept playing with a shorter time limit. Don and Zut decided they try some ânew defâ of hwguy and tunnel piping or something, because they were bored. CFZ did very well in defence to hold off our attack. Their attack also seemed to be doing a good job at moving our flag. As soon as we capped CFZ seemed to cap 20 seconds later, but PnP were eventually able to get a cap or so ahead and hold Cfz off.
Special thanks to DDinkums for spectating our match, knowing we were being watched by you made all 16 players rise to the next level.
GG CFZ.

I've uploaded some of the demos for our recent OZTF games over in the wars section. In the future I'll be uploading the MVDS to the same place as games are played.
PnP Slams Salary Cap as one of our greats departs
4-Jul-2004
A sad day for PnP as one of our longest serving members has had to be let go due to salary restrictions enforced by the OzTF Administration. Sandz disapointed by the decision decided to delete the OzTF website and make outragous attacks on a former team mate Bern. It's believed Berns multi million dollar contract is what lead sandz to be squeezed out. We wish all the best for Sandz in Team FP for the season.
